Sen. Bernie Sanders has proposed a constitutional amendment that would overturn the Supreme Court decision in a case called Citizens United vs. FEC.  

The Saving American Democracy Amendment states that:

• Corporations are not persons with constitutional rights equal to real people.
• Corporations are subject to regulation by the people.
• Corporations may not make campaign contributions or any election expenditures.
• Congress and states have the power to regulate campaign finances.

Hundreds of referees, including Bill McKibben, took to the nation’s capitol today to call out Congress on Big Oil lobbying and useless subsidies.

Reasons.

The GOP strategists and figureheads (Mike Huckabee, for example) have constantly told the Presidential hopefuls to stop talking about Bain.

Why?

Because incidents like Bain are the reason why the American Fall occurred. They realize that the lower classes are angry and that getting those angry people to vote for a man who laid off thousands of employees for no reason other than profit will be an incredible challenge.These are the parts of Capitalism that are obviously not as pretty as the Romneys of the world would have us believe. This must be discussed and brought to attention.

We are in a vital part of our economic history. Income inequality and class warfare are at the surface of the debate. For the sake of our futures, we cannot allow these topics to be swept under the rug and ignored. These must be solved.
